  • Training needs

I am in a foster home so am learning all about home life and house training.

  • Medical issues

I have had cataract surgery, please read more information below.

Indy is a very sweet girl who originally came to us from a her breeder to find a loving home. She arrived with cataracts in both eyes and was referred to a specialist, where she had cataract surgery. Indy spent a few months in a foster home while she was having this surgery and recovering and settled in so well. Although still a worried girl, she began to show her cheeky side and started to learn all about home life as she had never lived in a home before. She has the occasional accident sometimes but her house training has come along so well.

Indy was adopted for a short period of time, but has been returned through no fault of her own as she struggled to settle in as she was quite nervous of the male human in the home. She is in foster with a male at the moment and is fine with him, so with time, love and patience we think she would settle and start to trust.

Indy has a wonderful temperament and after only a few days in her new foster home she is already starting to approach for a gentle fuss and attention and is a little star when you put her eye drops in.

She is in foster with multiple other dogs at the moment and would be looking for a home where there was another kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and help her to settle in. She would benefit from a calm and quiet home and adopters who will give her the time and patience she needs to settle in. With love and kindness we think that she is going to blossom into the most wonderful girl so please don't leave her waiting too long.

Indy has recently been for another check up with an ophthalmic vet and unfortunately her left eye has deteriorated. She now has to be on extra eye drops to keep the eye stable but long term there is a possibility that she could lose that eye. Whoever takes her on will need to realise that there will be ongoing costs that would run into the hundreds and would require check ups with an opthalmic vet. Hopefully there is someone out there as she SO deserves to finally get her forever home.
