Farrah
Farrah is a beautiful girl who came to us from a breeder and is now ready to start her new life. When she first arrived, she was understandably a little nervous and overwhelmed to find herself here, but she soon began to settle. Farrah has since moved into a foster home, where she is becoming braver and making lovely progress each day.
She’s still a little unsure about being handled, but she has allowed her fosterer to gently stroke her a few times without worry, and even seemed to enjoy it. She now pops into the sitting room in the evenings to see what’s going on and is staying a little longer each time before retreating to the kitchen and her safe space. Each morning, she greets her fosterers with a waggy tail, something that never fails to brighten their day.
Farrah would be best suited to a calm, quiet home where she can continue to build confidence and settle in at her own pace.
She absolutely adores the other dogs in her foster home and finds great comfort and reassurance in their company. Because of this, Farrah will need to be homed where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and help guide her as she adjusts to her new life.
Before moving into foster, Farrah had never lived in a home before but she has adjusted to home life incredibly well and has so far copied the other dogs in her foster home and has done all of her toileting in the garden.
Farrah hasn’t yet started learning to walk on a lead, and this will need to be introduced gradually, with time, encouragement, and support. That said, she has taken a big step by venturing into her fosterer's secure field, even though she found the open space a little daunting at first, which is completely understandable. She enjoys pottering around the garden and we’re confident that, in her own time, she’ll get there with lead walking too.
Farrah truly is a sweetheart who deserves a second chance to discover what love really means. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Farrah may just be the perfect addition to your family.
Our vets have noted that Farrah has some early signs of cataracts, with slightly cloudy eyes. She also has some hormonal alopecia, which has already started to grow back beautifully. She also has a travel document.
