  • Human family requirements

I need an adult-only home where I can feel safe and loved.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I have learned how to walk on a lead and am enjoying going for walks.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I have a bilateral entropion that is being assessed by the vets.

Glint is a stunning girl who has come to us from a breeder. She was quite worried when she first arrived, but has made amazing progress. She was originally very unsure about being handled and can still be quite worried about this, but once she knows you she is now happy to have fuss and attention in small doses as long as you go slowly and at her pace.

It’s clear that Glint wants to trust. You can see the yearning in her eyes to connect, to relax, and to be loved. With the right support and a gentle approach, she will blossom into the dog she was always meant to be. Glint will need a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can gain confidence at her own pace.

Glint will need another kind and confident resident dog in her forever home, a canine friend to guide her, show her the ropes of home life, and give her the encouragement she needs to grow in confidence. She’s never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her and she will need to learn all about home life and new skills like house training. She tries to be kennel clean so this will hopefully help her as she settles into the routines of home life.

Glint has now learned to walk on a lead and with the comfort of her kennel friends by her side, she really enjoys going for walks around the country lanes here. She absolutely loves her food and will excitedly paw at you when she knows it's on its way.

Glint has come to us with tiny inward hairs on the lower eyelid that does not seem to be causing her any pain at the time. As the entropion is so minor, the vets do not believe that surgical intervention is recommended at this time.

Underneath her worries, Glint is a gentle, beautiful girl who is trying her best to trust and shine. With time, love, and patience, we know she will.

Glint has been given the Gift of Life by Suzanne Morris
