I could be homed with dog savvy children or teenagers who understand I may need time.

I am currently living with dogs & cats, and would like at least one resident dog.

Rainbow is a gentle 15-month-old Cavachon who came to us from a breeder, unsure and overwhelmed but quietly hopeful. In the beginning, she would gently wag her tail, clearly wanting to make friends but lacking the confidence to take that first step. She found great comfort in the company of her kennel mates and it was clear she would need a kind, patient home, ideally with a confident resident dog to help her find her feet.

Fast forward to two weeks in foster, and Rainbow has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and playful little girl who charms everyone she meets! Weighing just 5kg, she’s easy to handle and adores cuddles. She's formed lovely bonds not only with the other dogs in her foster home but also with the resident cat and her foster family’s three great-grandchildren (ages 4, 5, and 9).

Rainbow eats and sleeps well, happily settling in downstairs with the rest of the pack. She has learned to walk on a lead and now has excellent recall, she just wants to be close to her humans and part of the action.

She does have microphthalmia in her left eye, which means she’s blind on that side, but it doesn’t affect her day-to-day life at all and does not affect her right eye. In fact, her foster family only discovered it when the vet mentioned it during her second vaccination. Although her right eyelid also shows signs of an old injury, it causes her no discomfort and is not related to the microphthalmia in the left eye. She has a valid travel document and is in good overall health.

Rainbow would love a home with at least one other dog of a similar size to play and snuggle with, and she could live with dog-savvy older children or teenagers who understand she may still need some space at times. As she's still discovering what it means to live in a home, she’ll need gentle guidance with house training and adjusting to new surroundings, but she’s already made amazing progress.

Rainbow has come such a long way in a short time. With continued love, patience, and companionship, she’s ready to shine in her forever home. Please don’t let her wait too long, this little soul has so much love to give
