Yaris
Sweet little Yaris has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived she was very overwhelmed and was too worried to come and say hello, but now she has had some time to settle in she has truly started to come out of her shell. Once she gets to know you, she absolutely adores you and is the sweetest little girl.
Yaris finds great comfort in the company of other dogs, and with their reassurance, she begins to show signs of curiosity and courage. For this reason, she will definitely need a home with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can help her settle in to her new life and show her the ropes.
Yaris has started to learn all about walking on a lead and harness and is enjoying going for walks and adventures with the help of a friend by her side for comfort.
She has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her and her new family will need to offer her patience and understanding as she learns about home life, including house training.
When Yaris arrived, we noticed some signs of potential mobility issues, such as occasional slipping and swaying as she walked. She was assessed by our vet who prescribed some medication and put her on crate rest for a few weeks. She has now made a great recovery and is doing really well and our vet has no concerns, however this would now be classed as a pre-existing condition and so she would not be covered by insurance should she develop any back or mobility issues in the future. She may benefit from having physio in the future and an adopter with experience of Dachshunds or dogs who have had similar issues would be ideal.
Yaris has a travel document.
