A Packet of Love and Sunshine

Packet is a 6-year-old Foxhound who arrived from Ireland with her travel documentation and a heart full of love to share. She is a true gem of a dog, gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easy-going, with a dash of cheeky charm that makes her utterly endearing.

From the moment you meet her, Packet is all about connection. She’ll gently wrap her long limbs around you for a cuddle and absolutely adores fuss and attention. She loves her walks and explores the world with enthusiasm, yet she’s also a calm, relaxed girl who’s just as happy sunbathing in the yard or quietly snoozing in the sunshine.

Packet is confident enough to be the only dog in her new home as long as her adopters were around most of the time and we think she will love having all the attention to herself. She gets along well with other dogs and is currently kenneled with both males and females. However, she does need to be fed separately, so her new adopters will need to keep this in mind. She can sometimes be a bit jealous if other dogs are receiving attention, so any adopters would also need to be aware of this and work on this with her. She also cannot be homed with cats or small furries.

Packet has been a star while learning house training and walking on a lead while in her foster home, and we can gladly say that she has little to no accidents! Although, in her new home some accidents may happen due to the change in environment, but she should catch back on quickly!

Packet had a 2cm lump removed from her back leg at the time of her spay, and she has healed really well. Like many dogs her age, she also has a few small lumps and bumps that don’t bother her in the slightest.

Foxhounds are loyal, affectionate, and full of character. They do best with active families who understand their quirks or are willing to learn. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy, a gentle friend, and a daily dose of joy, Packet might just be your perfect match.

Come meet her and see for yourself, this beautiful girl is pure sunshine in dog form.
