Tarry
Tarry originally came to us from a breeder and was understandably a little worried and unsure of the world around her. But this sweet, inquisitive girl is now beginning to show her lovely personality and take her first brave steps into a new life.
Tarry has been in a foster for just a short period of time, where she’s made wonderful progress. She’s now sleeping through the night, toileting in the garden with no accidents so far, and eating well. She’s met the resident dogs politely, ranging in size from 9kg to 30kg and has even enjoyed gentle interactions with her fosterer’s young granddaughter. Tarry is starting to explore play and is already showing the beginnings of recall. She’s gentle, enjoys affection, and is learning to relax with everyday household sounds. Sudden movements can still startle her, but she quickly regains confidence and comes back for a fuss.
Tarry will still need a home with a kind, confident resident dog to help guide her and give her reassurance. She has never lived in a home before coming to us, so her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she continues to learn the ropes, things like housetraining, lead walking, and adjusting to a normal, loving home environment.
She really is such a lovely little girl, and now that we’re seeing her relax and start to trust, we know she’s going to make the most wonderful companion for someone special. She just needs a chance.
Tarry has been spayed and has had two teeth extracted during her routine dental. She’s currently being treated for a burn on her back end but is recovering well, and we’re confident she’ll soon be back to full health. She also has a travel document and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life.
Please don’t let her wait too long, Tarry is ready to be loved.
