A Lab Lover's Dream with a Heart Full of Joy

Jacket is a beautiful 6-year-old Labrador who came to us from a breeder to find her forever home. True to her breed, she is friendly, gentle, and delightfully food-motivated, a classic Lab in all the best ways. She has never lived in a home before, so she will need a kind and steady resident dog to guide her as she continues to adjust to family life.

Since arriving, Jacket has been blossoming in her foster home. She is house trained, sleeps soundly in her bed overnight, and is a calm and quiet companion indoors. She can be left for a few hours without any worry and is wonderfully polite with other dogs, friendly with visiting grandchildren, and respectful of the resident cats and rabbits.

Out on walks, Jacket is a joy, she strolls beautifully on a lead without pulling and enjoys exploring the world around her. While she adores tennis balls, her foster carer avoids throwing them to protect her hips. This is because Jacket has hip dysplasia in both hips, a condition confirmed by x-rays. At present, she is managing well and does not currently need medication, but her new family should be aware that she may need anti-inflammatories or even surgery in the future. This would be considered a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by standard pet insurance.

Jacket is a loving, easygoing girl who is ready to share her heart with a new family. She would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor adventures but also appreciates quiet cuddles and gentle companionship. She’s truly a special soul who will reward her adopters with unwavering loyalty and love.
