Beautiful Jackie has come such a long way on her journey to find love. Rescued from the Ad Lancram Kill Shelter in Romania, she was lucky enough to spend time in a kind foster home in Romanie, before making her way to us in the UK. That early glimpse of love and care helped Jackie start to believe in people again, and now, she’s continuing to grow in confidence and show us what a truly special little soul she is.

When Jackie first arrived, she was understandably nervous. But with time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement, she’s begun to come out of her shell and show more of her sweet, affectionate personality each day. She’s a quiet, well-behaved girl with a soft nature and the kindest eyes. And while loud noises and passing vehicles still give her pause, she doesn’t panic, she just needs a moment and a reassuring voice to help her feel safe again.

Jackie walks well on a lead and loves her gentle strolls, especially in calm, quiet surroundings. She’s also starting to show her playful side and has recently discovered her joy for toys. It’s been heartwarming to see her begin to act more like the happy, carefree dog she was always meant to be.

She’s incredibly loving once she knows you, and will come over for fuss and affection, she even asks for more with the sweetest little nudge. She gets on brilliantly with other dogs and really thrives in their company, so we’re looking for a home where there’s already a kind, confident resident dog to help Jackie continue building trust and security.

Jackie will need a calm and understanding adult-only home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. She may still need help with house training and adjusting to home life, but she’s clever, eager to please, and has already come so far.

She has an adorably undershot jaw that only adds to her charm, giving her a distinctive toothy smile that’s hard to resist. Jackie has tested negative for Brucella Canis, Leishmania, and Giardia, and she has her passport ready for her next adventure, this time, to a forever home filled with love.
