Shally
Shally is a sweet, curious and affectionate little soul who originally came to us from a breeder in search of his forever home. When he arrived, Shally was diagnosed with a grade 4 heart murmur and was referred to a specialist for further investigation. He was found to have Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) - left to right shunt, along with left atrial and left ventricular enlargement. Shally recently underwent specialist surgery and has made a wonderful recovery and is now ready to find his forever home.
His specialists are confident that he should now go on to live a normal life with a normal life expectancy, and since his recovery, Shally has truly blossomed into the happy, playful puppy he was always meant to be.
Now active and full of energy, Shally enjoys running around the field with the other dogs in his foster home and especially loves playing with the younger ones. He’s a bright boy with good recall, is learning the house training routine well, and sleeps through the night with the other dogs. He’s an affectionate little lad who loves cuddles and snuggling on the sofa and is especially gentle and sweet with children.
Shally would love a home with a kind and confident resident dog to help him continue to thrive and to be his playmate, but in the right circumstances with adopters who were around most of the time we would consider homing him as an only dog. He is still just a puppy and will need adopters who can offer him time, patience, and all the love in the world.
If you have room in your heart and home for this very special little lad, please consider putting in an adoption application. He truly deserves the very best that life has to offer
Shally will need to attend puppy socialisation classes and his adopters will need to agree to neuter him at the appropriate age as per the adoption contract. He has a travel document.
