  • Human family requirements

I need an adult-only home where I can feel safe and loved.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I'm working on my confidence, so I need an extra secure garden to keep me safe.

  • Out and about requirements

I'm learning to enjoy my one or two quiet walks a day but need plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I’m learning to walk on the lead but still need to master housetraining.

  • Medical issues

I have low-grade luxating patellas. Gentle exercise could help this.

Indie originally came to us from a breeder as a shut down and scared dog that was in desperate need of love and kindness. She would allow you to handle her easily and give her a gentle head scratch but would shake in fear, scared of what was going to come next or what may happen. Now, Indie is learning about the enjoyments of living life in a foster home where she is learning skills like house training and how to walk on a lead that will help set her up for success in her new home. Indie is constantly learning new things, like that humans aren't so bad after all and has made friends easily with the other foster and resident dogs in the home. Indie will need at least one kind dog she can rely on as she settles into her new home and continues growing her confidence. Indie will need an adult only home where her adopters are able to be kind and compassionate as she continues to slowly open her heart to us humans, and provide her with encouragements and positive reinforcements so to continue growing her self-assurance.
