  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet, adult only home.

  • Other pet requirements

I can be an only dog or live with other dogs around my size. I haven't met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in, where I can lay in the sun.

  • Out and about requirements

I feel much more comfortable on my walks, sniffing, exploring and making friends.

  • Training needs

I walk well on a lead and I'm used to going on a puppy pad, outside toilet is next!

  • Medical issues

I'm neutered and ready to find my forever home!

Charlie is a very handsome boy who has come to us from a home through no fault of his own, due to his owners ill health. If you are a Chihuahua fan, then look no further as you are going to love little Charlie! Charlie is very overwhelmed and confused to find himself here at the moment and like a typical Chi, he can be a little sassy when he first meets you. When he first arrived, he was extremely worried and was not at all happy about being touched or handled and would make it very clear that he did not want you to touch him by growling and showing his teeth. However, once you sit with him for five minutes and speak gently to him, he will start to come towards you and give you a little boop with his nose and maybe even a gentle little lick. Once he feels more comfortable around you, he will allow you to stroke him and is happy to except a gentle fuss and sit in your lap.

Once you win Charlie over, you will have no option but to be his bestest friend and he will make sure of that! He has so much love to give and once he has decided you are worthy of it, he will offer it to you by the bucket load. Charlie will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with similar dogs. He is confident enough to be homed as an only dog as long as his adopters were around most of the time, but could live with other similar sized small dogs. He has yet to meet cats. Although he has lived in a home before, he does still need some help with toilet training and we are told that he would use puppy pads. He loves to go on walks and seems to be much more accepting of strangers on walks, but with time, love and kindness and lots of socialisation he should start to let his guard down.

Under his tough Chihuahua exterior, he really is a little softie and whoever adopts him is going to adore him!

Can live with other dogs

This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
