29-03-25 Bertie is a very handsome and loving boy who has come to us from a home through no fault of his own as the household was too busy and his owners felt like he would prefer a quieter home. Bertie is a sweet soul with so much love to give. He dreams of curling up in a soft cosy bed once again and cannot wait to be back in his forever home. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life - a peaceful afternoon nap, a slow stroll in the fresh air and lots of love and attention.

After assessment, the Vets are monitoring the third eye lid in both eyes.

Bertie would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can take life at a gentler pace, soaking up all the love he has to give and receive. He would be happiest to be homed as the only dog, but he does enjoy going on walks with other dogs. We would consider homing him with older, dog-savvy children who understand that sometimes, a dog just needs a little space to settle in. He cannot live with cats.

Having lived in a home before, Bertie knows the basics of house training but may need a few gentle reminders. At night, he happily sleeps through in the kitchen without a peep, and he can be left alone for short periods without fuss. He does have a small fatty lump between his front legs, but this has been checked by his previous vet and requires no action.

Bertie is waiting for the next chapter of his story. A chapter filled with love, comfort, and the security of knowing he will never have to leave again.
