  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I would love an active playmate who is about my size or bigger!

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I’ve lived in a home before but might have a few accidents at first.

  • Medical issues

I’ve started my vaccinations and will be neutered before adoption.

28-03-25 Louie originally came to us from a breeder and was adopted for a short period of time, but was ultimately returned to us as he was a little too playful with the visiting dog. Louie is a fun-loving and energetic pup who is looking for a home with a playful canine companion preferably his size or bigger who shares his enthusiasm! He has enjoyed socializing with visiting dogs, but his excitement can sometimes be a little too much for less playful pups. He has so much confidence, and as he was previously living as an only dog, he can be homed by himself with adopters who have plenty of time for him!

This boy has big dog energy! We are told that Louie absolutely thrived at doggy day care, even keeping up with German Shepherds! Louie would definitely benefit from an active and engaging home! Louie would love to go on two quiet walks a day to help release some energy but be warned - he is a bit of a plodder! So if you don't mind stopping to smell the roses, and the sidewalks, and the trees, and really anything worth smelling - he may be the perfect match for you! However, we are told that he is stronger than he looks and his previous adopter had some struggles managing him whenever he got too excited, so he will need someone who can confidently guide him with training and structure.

We are told that in the home, Louie has found his voice and will let you know when he is ready to go outside for a potty and he has met children on walks and seemed to be okay, but this will continue to be assessed. Louie is excellent in the car and doesn't mind going for a drive, and walks well on a lead. With time, training and guidance, his excitement and vocal nature can be shaped into positive communication.

If you are looking for a lively, affectionate dog who will keep you entertained and on your toes and cuddle with you in bed when it's time to sleep, Louie may just be the perfect dog for you! He has already had a taste of home life, so we are hoping he won't be waiting for too much longer!
