  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet home where I won’t be overwhelmed while I settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I need at least one resident dog to help me feel safe and confident.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me yet, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I need to learn lead walking and house manners.

  • Medical issues

I’ve been neutered and am being treated for a poorly left eye.

29-03-25 Howdy, y’all! This handsome cowboy is Texas and while he may not be a native of the Lone Star State, our resident Texan took one look at him and claimed him as one of her own! With his sweet and polite nature, it’s easy to see why.

Texas has come to us with a gunky left eye and is currently receiving treatment for this, and will be reassessed by our vets.

Texas is an easy going guy that has a personality bigger than the state itself - which is pretty big! He is the more confident one in his kennel and will come straight up to your for a sniff and fuss, but does tend to stick to the four-legged friends if he has the choice. He loves running around in the yard and finds his spark while he is out and about roaming and taking in the smells. While he may be a little reserved at first, with kindness and care, we know he’ll come out of his shell and blossom like a Texas bluebonnet in the spring.

Since Texas has never lived in a home before, he’ll need adopters who are understanding as he learns the ropes - things like house training and walking on a lead will all be new experiences for him. To help him settle in, he’ll also need another kind, resident dog to be his buddy and show him about home life.

If you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky canine companion, this charming boy is ready to lasso your love and ride off into the sunset with his forever family!
