Slip
20-03-25 Slip has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is an extremely scared girl and is completely overwhelmed to find herself here at the moment. She is so scared that she will wee all over you in fear, which is just heartbreaking to see. She doesn't yet understand that human hands can be kind and can sometimes scream when you need to handle her. Due to this, she will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience of scared ex-breeding dogs. She has never lived in a home before and so will find this very overwhelming at first and so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding and allow her to settle in at her own pace. She relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend, take her under their wing and snuggle up with her and reassure her that everything is going to be okay. They will also help her learn all about home life as well as new skills like house training. She has never walked on a lead or harness before and will find this too overwhelming at the moment, but once she is happier being handled, she can practice wearing a harness and lead around the garden and home before venturing out into the world. She will need adopters with lots of patience, who realise that she may not make progress quickly and everything will need to be done at her own pace, while offering her plenty of love and TLC. It will be so worth it to see her reach new milestones, like her very first tail wag or discovering the treat jar, so please don't leave her waiting too long. Slip has a travel document. Slip has had some runny eyes and has seen our vet who wonders if this may be allergies, she is being monitored at the moment
