  • Human family requirements

I’d love an adult-only home where my human is around most of the time.

  • Other pet requirements

I would prefer to be the only pet in my new home.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I’ve lived in a home before but might have a few accidents at first.

  • Medical issues

I have an umbilical hernia that is just cosmetic and sore skin on my back.

03-04-25 Clyde has come to us from a home where he lived with eight other dogs, and it’s clear he saw himself as their little protector. Sadly, due to his owner becoming unwell, they made the difficult decision to bring him and all of his friends to us to find their forever homes.

Although he arrived with several other dogs, Clyde would much prefer to be homed as an only dog where he can get all of the fuss and attention for himself. He can be a little reactive to other dogs and so his adopters will need to work on socialising him with other dogs on walks etc.

This dinky boy may be small, but he has a big personality! He can be a little spicy when first meeting new people and doesn’t like to be touched by strangers. However, once he’s had some time to get to know you, he quickly becomes your most loyal friend and will beg for more fuss and attention.

Clyde likely hasn’t had much exposure to the outside world, so he will need patient and gentle introductions to new experiences. He has lived in a home before, but he may need some reminders about house training. He walks well on a lead and would love a calm environment with a secure garden where he can explore at his own pace.

Clyde will need an adult only home that will allow him the time and patience he needs to settle as kids may be a bit too busy for him. For the right person willing to give him time and patience, Clyde will be a devoted companion.

Clyde has been assessed by our vets upon arrival and is already neutered and does have an umbilical hernia that doesn't seem to bother him and our vets have advised it requires no action. He also has some sore areas of skin from where his fur was matted, as well as some spots of alopecia, but this should hopefully grow back.
