Blossoming Beauty Ready for Her Next Chapter

Chiver is a 1-year-old Chow Chow who has come to us from a breeder. At first, she was a very worried girl, understandably overwhelmed by the sudden changes in her world. But with time, kindness, and the help of her furry friends, she has started to truly blossom into a confident, cheeky, and affectionate young dog.

As she has never lived in a home before, Chiver will need help adjusting to the sights, sounds, and routines of family life. She is making great progress but her adopters will need to continue guiding her gently and patiently as she settles in. She may not be ready for walks straight away, so a secure garden where she can explore at her own pace will be essential. She is currently walking nicely on a harness and enjoys being outside, though she can still be a little sensitive to loud noises.

Chiver has transformed from a shy and unsure girl into a cuddly and loving companion. She gets excited to see people she knows and is beginning to enjoy gentle fuss and attention, especially head and back scratches. Her confidence will only continue to grow in the right home.

Because of her sensitive nature, Chiver is looking for a calm, adult-only home with a kind and confident resident dog to help her feel secure and show her the ropes. She will thrive in a peaceful environment where she can take life at her own pace, surrounded by patience and understanding.

Chivers has met cats here at the rescue and has not been bothered by them so we believe she would be fine to live with cats if introduced correctly.

Chiver has been spayed and had a bilateral entropion (a condition where the eyelids turn inward) corrected at the same time. This has been treated, but her eyes should be gently monitored going forward. She also comes with her travel documentation.

With a steady hand and a kind heart, Chiver will reward her new family with loyalty, warmth, and a deeply loving bond. She is ready to continue her journey and find a home where she can finally feel safe and cherished.
