I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I am too scared to go out for walks right now and will need a careful introduction.

  • Training needs

I need to learn lead training and house manners when I am settled into my new home.

  • Medical issues

I’ve started my vaccinations, and my adopter must agree to neuter me at the right age

28-03-25 Ryan has come to us from a breeder and is starting to learn that the world isn't such a scary place. Right now, he is very nervous and will need a calm, patient home to help him build his confidence at his own pace. He isn't comfortable being handled yet and will let out a scream when picked up, so his adopters must respect his boundaries and allow him to come around in his own time. Fast movements startle him, and if you move too quickly toward him, he may let out a gentle nip - not out of aggression, but simply because he is unsure. A slow steady approach will help him feel safe. Therefore, Ryan is needing adopters with plenty of dog experience that can help him gain trust and come out of his shell.

A confident resident dog is essential to help guide Ryan and show him that people can be kind. He can live with older more dog savvy teens, who can respect his space as he settles, but young children may be too overwhelming for him.

Ryan will need support with gaining special skills like house training and learning to walk on a lead as he settles and in his own time. His adopters will need to commit to puppy classes that will help him become a successful adult, and so he can learn all about socializing with other dogs outside of the home. He will also need to be neutered when he is old enough. Despite his fears, there is a special boy inside, waiting to flourish in the home. Given time and kindness, Ryan has the potential to become the playful and happy puppy he is meant to be.

If you have experience, understanding and a resident dog to help Ryan on his journey, he could be the perfect addition to your home!
