Collin came to us from a breeder and, like many dogs who’ve never known life beyond a kennel, he was initially overwhelmed by the big, unfamiliar world around him. But it didn’t take long for his true personality to start shining through and what a special soul he is.

Now that he’s settled, Collin has blossomed into a calm, affectionate companion who greets everyone with tail wags and quiet excitement. He’s often the first to his kennel door, ready to say hello with gentle enthusiasm. Out on walks, he’s an absolute dream, polite, steady, and now one of the easiest dogs for our volunteers to take out.

Collin’s favourite thing in the world is people. He adores human affection and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap or gently pressing his head into you for comfort. He’s not just looking for a home, he’s looking for a best friend to share his heart with.

Though he has a soft, gentle nature, Collin also has a playful side. He delights in a good game of fetch and would thrive in a home with a secure garden where he can enjoy a bit of outdoor fun. He’d be happiest as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention, but he could live with another kind, calm dog – ideally a larger female – as he can be a little bossy with smaller companions. Currently, he’s happily kennelled with three dogs and getting along just fine.

Collin has never lived in a home before, so his adopters will need to be patient and understanding as he learns all about home life, things like house training and settling into a new routine. He’s already come so far and is eager to learn with gentle guidance.

He’s also had some fur loss and irritation in his ears, but with good nutrition and care, he’s already improving and looking better every day.

Collin is a truly wonderful boy with a heart full of love. With the right home and kind guidance, he’s going to thrive, and make someone incredibly lucky.
