Vimto is a gorgeous young pup who arrived with his litter from a breeder to find his forever home. When he first came to us, he was a very worried little soul who would completely shut down when on his own and only found comfort in his littermates. He hadn’t had much handling and was easily spooked, so we knew he would need time, patience, and lots of love to help him blossom.

Since going into foster, Vimto has made some wonderful progress and is really starting to come out of his shell. He now loves to jump up for cuddles and will happily curl up on the sofa. He even has a cheeky side, climbing onto the back of the sofa to play with his foster mum’s hair and shower her with kisses! He is affectionate with the grandchildren, loves the company of other dogs, and is even fine with the cat.

Vimto has also grown in confidence on his walks. At first he found it all very overwhelming, but with gentle encouragement he now enjoys lovely strolls across the fields. He may still spin on the lead at the start, but soon settles and walks nicely. He is very enthusiastic at mealtimes and sometimes lets you know with a bark, and he will also greet you with a little bark in the mornings, but once he’s said hello, he soon quiets down.

House training is coming along well, and during the day he is mostly clean indoors. As he has never lived in a home before, he will still need patient adopters to continue his training and teach him all his home manners.

Vimto is still a timid lad at heart and will need a calm home with a kind and confident resident dog to show him the ropes and help him continue to grow in confidence. We would consider homing Vimto with dog-savvy teenage children who understand his needs as he settles in. Puppy classes will also really help him with his social skills and manners as he matures.

This little boy has so much love to give and is blossoming more each day. We don’t know why he is still waiting, as he is such a sweet, affectionate, and special pup. With the right guidance, Vimto will make the most fantastic addition to a loving family who can give him the security and patience he needs to truly flourish.
