09-02-26 Indie is a beautiful girl, who originally came to us as an unsold older puppy. She was adopted and found a loving home, but sadly she has been returned to us as her owners work circumstances changed.

Indie is a very sweet girl, who would be best suited to a calm and quiet home. She can be anxious at times, so would benefit from adopters who have experience with similar dogs. She is quite worried about meeting new people and will bark at them, but it doesn't take her too long to warm up to them. Once she gets to know you, she is a truly wonderful girl and is very affectionate.

Indie is a clever girl and already knows several commands such as "sit", "stay", "wait", "lie down" & "bed" (place). She thrives on routine and so would benefit from a home with adopters who are around most of the time and have a predictable routine. We are told that she can display some signs of separation anxiety when home alone and so her adopters will need to be willing to work on this with her and build up the amount of time she is left. She can also be a little mouthy when she gets overstimulated.

Indie gets on well with other dogs and would be more than happy to have another kind resident dog in her new home to be her friend, but we would also consider homing her as an only dog in the right circumstance. She has met a cat at the rescue and was fine with them, but did bark at cats visiting the garden of her home. We are told that she is house trained, but she might need some reminders as she settles into her new home. She previously slept on her adopters bed, so she would like if this could continue in her new home. She will need a secure garden with 6ft+ fences.

Indie walks well on a lead and would love to find an active, adult-only home where she can be kept both mentally and physically stimulated. She can be worried about having her lead and harness put on. but we will continue to work on this with her while she is with us. She can also be quite barky when out and about as she gets worried about new people appearing, but if they crouch down and offer her a treat she soon becomes their friend.

Indie is the sweetest little girl and in the right home, we think she is going to truly thrive.
