Robin
11-07-25 Robin has come to us to find his forever home after he had been returned to his breeder from his home. His previous owners sadly felt they could no longer care for him, as they had young children and he began to display some resource guarding behaviours. We have been told that he would guard toys, treats, and other discarded items to name just a few things.
Robin has been a wonderful boy here and hasn't put a paw wrong, however it's important to note that resource guarding behaviour is usually more prominent in a home environment than in the rescue. For this reason, he will be looking for an adult only home with no visiting children and with adopters who have experience with dogs with similar behaviours and will work on this with him.
Robin really is the most handsome, happy chappy around! This cheeky boy is full of life and so much fun to be around, he’s sure to bring a smile to your face every single day. He is a confident lad who absolutely loves being the centre of attention. He happily demands kisses and cuddles from everyone he meets and has a wonderful, affectionate nature.
Because he’s such a sociable and happy little character, Robin is confident enough to be homed as an only dog, provided his adopters are around most of the time to keep him company. He would also be very happy living with other friendly and playful dogs who can share in his adventures.
Robin already walks nicely on a lead and even goes walking with volunteers here at the rescue. He will adore going out on walks and exploring the world with his new family and would benefit from an active home. He has lived in a home before, so may be house trained, but may need some reminders of this.
Robin is a truly wonderful boy and in the right home, with experienced adopters and where he is set up for success with clear boundaries and positive reinforcement we think he is really going to thrive and be the most wonderful companion.
