09-07-25 Leo is a sweet and gentle boy who has come into our care after sadly being surrendered by his previous owners, who could no longer care for him due to age-related difficulties. This lovely lad has known the comforts of a home and is very much missing the quiet, relaxed lifestyle he was used to.

Leo is house trained and walks nicely on a lead. While he may need a few gentle reminders as he adjusts to a new environment, this is completely understandable, and he will quickly settle back into a routine with a little patience and reassurance.

He enjoys a gentle stroll now and then, but more than anything, Leo would love a comfy sofa to curl up on and someone to share quiet moments with. He’s not demanding, just a laid-back companion who wants to feel safe, warm, and loved once again.

He is confident enough to be homed as an only dog but could also live with other kind resident dogs but may be best suited to a larger male dog. He has met cats in his foster home and has been fine with them but can chase them at times, he could possibly be homed with a very dog savvy cat. He is currently in foster with children and so could be homed with dog savvy children 6+ who would let him settle in at his own pace.

Leo truly is a sweet, affectionate gentleman who deserves to spend his days in the comfort of a loving home, surrounded by kindness. If you’re looking for a calm and faithful friend, Leo may be the perfect match for you.

After an assessment by the vets, Leo seems to be developing cataracts in both eyes. There is nothing further to be done at this time, and it does not seem to be slowing him down! He has also arrived with several missing teeth and has had a further 6 extracted at the time of his neuter.

Can live with other dogs
