Roanie
29-07-25 Roanie is a timid Cocker Spaniel who has come to us from his breeder in Ireland. Right now, she’s feeling very overwhelmed and is understandably cautious around new people. Despite this, the kennel team has been able to gently hold and handle her, and she’s been accepting and calm during these quiet interactions.
To help build her confidence and sense of security, it’s essential that Roanie goes to a home with a kind, friendly resident dog. A calm canine companion will provide her with comfort, guidance, and the reassurance she needs as she adjusts to life as a beloved family member.
As Roanie has never experienced life inside a home, everything will be new to her, from house training to learning how to walk on a lead. These changes can feel daunting, but with time, patience, and the steady presence of another dog, we believe Roanie has every chance to flourish.
Because she’s feeling so unsure right now, Roanie would be best suited to an adult-only home. A peaceful, gentle environment where he won’t be overwhelmed and can take life at her own pace would be an ideal environment.
We’re hopeful that with love, understanding, and time, Roanie’s sweet spirit will start to shine through. She deserves a second chance to feel safe, and happy.
Roanie has had 8 teeth extracted and will benefit from a soft food diet.
She has a PETS travel document.
