Zimmy
Zimmy came to us from a breeder in search of his forever home. At first, he was a little worried and unsure, but it didn’t take long for him to show his true, affectionate self. He is now a confident little lad, a total lapdog who thrives on attention and cuddles once he knows you. Zimmy loves being close to people and is going the make the most wonderful boy.
Zimmy experienced a brief adoption, but sadly the home wasn’t the right fit. The busy environment and frequent visitors overwhelmed him, and he struggled to feel comfortable. He did nip a visitor once, but this was out of fear and because he hadn’t yet had the chance to settle. Because of this, Zimmy will be looking for a calm, quiet, adult-only home, ideally with someone experienced with dogs, where he can take his time to adjust and thrive.
Zimmy was adopted for a short period of time and since returning to the rescue, Zimmy has settled back in beautifully. It’s as though he never left, and he has his kennel carers completely wrapped around his little paws! He is affectionate, loving, and completely devoted to those he bonds with, a true Velcro dog who will paw for fuss if you dare stop giving him attention. Despite everything he has been through, Zimmy remains the happiest, cheekiest little chap, ready to brighten anyone’s day with his personality and love.
Zimmy gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his kennel and can be homed with a compatible resident dog who is happy to share their family and home. He can also live as an only dog, but given how much attention he craves, it’s important that his adopter is home most of the time to provide him with love, cuddles, and reassurance.
Zimmy has never lived in a home before (apart from his brief adoption), so his future family will need patience and understanding as he learns home life, including house training and walking on a lead. He also arrived with an ear infection, which is being treated, and his left stifle (knee joint) will need monitoring by his vet.
This little man is a treasure, affectionate, loyal, and full of cheeky charm. Any family would be incredibly lucky to welcome him into their home, and we can’t wait to see him blossom as someone’s very special boy.
Zimmy has a travel document.
