16-07-25 Trip is a sweet and sensitive ex-breeding Cavalier cross Westie who is now looking for a kind, patient, and understanding forever home. Life until now hasn’t given her much opportunity to experience love or comfort, so she’s hoping for a calm environment where she can begin her journey at her own pace.

Trip is very reliant on the company of other dogs, and it’s clear that she finds great comfort and security in them. Because of this, she must be homed with at least one other resident dog who can help her feel safe and show her how to navigate life in a loving home.

As she has never lived in a home before, everything is new to her, from household noises and routines to being gently handled by humans. Trip is not yet used to physical affection and can be quite skittish when approached, so her adopters will need to be very gentle, allowing her time to build trust in her own time. Slow, positive interactions will help her gain confidence and begin to understand that people can be kind and safe.

Trip will also need to learn the basics, like house training and lead walking, and should not be rushed into walks straight away. At this stage, the best thing for her will be to have a safe, secure garden where she can explore freely and gain confidence in her surroundings. She shows a playful, energetic side in kennels, so a good-sized garden will also give her the space she needs to burn off a little energy and feel more relaxed.

Trip is looking for an adult-only home that is calm and peaceful. She needs a home where she can take her time, be gently guided, and never feel overwhelmed. She may be a little worried now, but with patience, kindness, and the company of a resident dog, she has every chance to blossom into a lovely companion.

Trip has a travel document.
