Tork
17-07-25 Tork is a super sweet, older girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. This darling girl is an absolute delight to spend time with. She is gentle, easy to handle, and full of quiet charm. She has a loving nature and is sure to win the hearts of everyone she meets.
Tork is looking for a special home where there is at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and guide. As she has never lived in a home before, everything will be very new to her. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead.
Tork is currently receiving treatment for an ear infection. She also has dry eyes and has tested negative for corneal ulcers in both eyes, but is receiving treatment to keep them comfortable. Our vets have also noted that she is missing many teeth, and had two more extracted at the time of her spay.
She arrived with some stiffness on her back legs and muscle loss around her hips. She has had an x-ray which show that she has an old pelvic fracture which has healed, leaving a slight ligament misalignment. Her cruciate ligament isn’t perfect, but since the injury is fully healed and causes her no pain, no further treatment is needed at this time. She’s mobile, happy, and gets around just fine, but may face a little difficulty getting up and down stairs. Her adopters would need to be aware that should she require any further treatment for any of the mentioned issues, they would not be coverable by insurance.
None of this dims her sweet spirit, and with the right care and a soft bed to call her own, she will blossom into the most wonderful companion. If you have a gentle home and the heart to show this lovely girl what it means to be truly loved, please consider offering Tork the forever family she deserves.
Tork has a travel document.
