23-07-25 Womble is a curious and gentle Cocker Spaniel who has come to us from her breeder in Ireland. Understandably, she’s feeling a little scared in her new surroundings right now, but once she begins to trust, she will quietly settle into your arms, seeking the comfort she’s missed.

Womble is looking for a kind and confident doggy friend in her new home, someone to show her the ropes and help her find her confidence. With the right canine companion by her side, we believe her progress will come along beautifully. She does show some signs of resource guarding her food from other dogs, so will need to be fed separately from any other animals and will need adopters who are confident to manage this.

As she’s never lived in a home before, Womble will need lots of patient support to learn the basics like walking on a lead, getting the hang of house training, and discovering the joys of the treat cupboard! Her new doggy friend will play a big role in helping her navigate this exciting new world.

Womble would thrive in a calm, patient home with adopters who are happy to let her take life at her own pace, without any pressure or expectations. In time, we know this lovely girl will blossom into a wonderful companion, especially for those who adore the Cocker Spaniel breed and understand their gentle hearts.

Womble has a tiny swelling on the left side of her back alongside the midline, which has been determined to not pose a risk but may need to be assessed in the future.

She has a travel document.
