19-08-25 Pheobe first came to us in 2023 from a breeder and quickly found a loving home, where she blossomed into a happy, affectionate little girl. Sadly, when the resident dog passed away, Pheobe struggled as an only dog, and it became clear she needed canine companionship to thrive. With heavy hearts, her family returned her to her original foster home, so she could find the right environment to be truly happy again.

Phoebe was recently adopted again for a short time, but unfortunately, through no fault of her own, she has returned to her foster home. She may be one of the unluckiest little dogs we’ve met, yet she remains a sweet, loving soul. She has no behavioural issues that her foster has seen, is very clean in the house, and even helped teach the other foster, Pansy about house training.

Phoebe loves her food, her little chew toys, and snuggles. The recent upheavals in her life have made her a little cautious in new situations, but she quickly warms up with patience and reassurance.

This dear little girl LOVES cuddles and thrives in calm, friendly households where she can feel safe. Pheobe will need at least one kind and cuddly friend in her new home that she can lean on for support as she settles into (what would hopefully be) her final and forever home. Pheobe has been introduced to cats and seems to pay them no mind as there is no malice in her little body; we would consider rehoming her with a kind dog-savvy cat who doesn't mind sharing their space. She enjoys her walks, though she is a bit hesitant at first due to recent changes. In the right home, with patient adopters and ideally a confident, kind resident dog, Phoebe will make a wonderful companion, bringing endless love and joy.

Her previous vets noted occasional paw licking, which may be due to allergies or stress. She has also had a dental since returning to us, with two teeth extracted.
