Poppy
16-08-25 Lovely Poppy has come to us from Ireland and is now looking for her forever home. We are told that she has lived in a home before, so some aspects of family life may already be familiar to her.
Poppy is a very sweet natured girl who is easy to handle and is simply going to be a delight to have around. She adores the company of other dogs and is even used to bigger dogs, like her friend Ziggy the boxer! Poppy will need a kind resident dog in her new home to be her friend and companion.
As she has previously lived in a home, Poppy may be house trained, although we can’t guarantee this and her new family should be prepared to help her settle in. We are told she is crate trained and has been around children before, so we would consider homing her with dog-savvy teenagers who will understand she may still need some time to adjust.
Poppy may already know how to walk on a lead but could need a bit more practice while she regains her confidence and feels secure in her new environment.
Poppy is a wonderful girl with so much love to give. With a patient, kind family and a friendly canine companion, she is sure to thrive and bring endless joy to her new home. If you think you could offer Poppy the safe and loving future she deserves, please don't leave her waiting.
Poppy has been scanned for potential bladder stones, which showed none present. However, there is still inflammation of the bladder, which may persist lifelong. This generally poses no risk to life unless clear signs of polyuria, haematuria, or other renal abnormalities develop.
Feed urinary diets going forward if possible to help the kidneys and reduce chances of any bladder stones, growths or polyps in the future She has had 3 teeth removed at the time of spay.
Poppy has a travel document.
