  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet, adult only home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I haven't tried walks just yet and will find this a bit overwhelming at the moment.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I have had 15 teeth extracted at the time of my spay.

Miranda is a beautiful, sensitive little girl who has spent far too long waiting for the love she deserves. Coming to us from a breeder, she spent six years in kennels without ever knowing a gentle hand or a kind word, and it showed in her early days with us, frightened, overwhelmed, and deeply wary of humans. But even from the very beginning, there was a quiet sweetness in her eyes, a hint of the little dog she could be with patience, understanding, and love.

Now, in foster care, Miranda is showing us glimpses of the brave, cheeky personality hidden beneath all that fear. She is still very nervous of humans and worried about being handled, but with calm encouragement and gentle touch, she is beginning to show the trust she has been waiting to give. She adores the company of other dogs, finding comfort and confidence in their presence, and is happy to share beds and toys, showing her gentle, sociable side.

Miranda sleeps peacefully at night, settles in the kitchen, and enjoys the simple pleasures of canine companionship, a small joy she has only just begun to experience. She is still a beginner on the lead and will need time, patience, and kind guidance to navigate the sights, sounds, and routines of home life.

Because of her sensitive nature and her past, Miranda needs a very calm, adult-only home with adopters experienced in helping nervous ex-breeding dogs. She will need at least one confident, kind resident dog to guide her, show her that humans can be trusted, and help her blossom into the affectionate, playful little dog she was always meant to be. Grooming and handling must always be slow and gentle, respecting her boundaries, and she would benefit from a soft food diet following her spay and dental surgery.

Miranda may never be a “typical” dog, but she is a little soul overflowing with love, ready to finally experience kindness, safety, and belonging. Her journey has been long and hard, but for the right family, welcoming her into their hearts will be one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable.
