Edna
EDNA IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITH HER FRIEND EDITH
03-09-25 Edna is one of several dogs rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions. Their elderly owner, struggling with mental health issues, was overwhelmed, and the home had become dirty and unmanageable. Though not intentionally mistreated, the dogs went without proper care. Now safe with us, they're finally experiencing love and stability.
Edna is a beautiful senior girl who is in desperate need of TLC. With a heart of gold and the gentlest soul, she is a sweet little angel who deserves a peaceful, loving retirement home where she can finally be cherished. She is currently in foster with her friend, Edith and as the two have essentially spent their whole lives together, they would like a home where they can continue supporting each other on their next journey.
She also doesn't know how to walk on a lead, so gentle encouragement and practice will help her grow in confidence. Although, we think she would suit more in a home where she gets to relax on the couch and in the garden rather than going on long adventures. Edna has really settled into her foster home where she is learning house training and goes potty as soon as she wakes up in the morning, she takes ever so long naps in whoever's lap is the warmest, and absolutely loves to sunbathe and soak it all in while out in the garden.
Edna has arrived in very poor condition, with sore, itchy skin and significant fur loss, which we are currently treating. Edna also has severe cataracts in both eyes and will need at least one eye removed to relieve her discomfort. She has several lumps and bumps that our vet will be assessing, as well as an ear infection that’s now being treated.
Despite all of this, Edna remains gentle and sweet. She has such a close bond with her friend, Edith and the two deserve to live out the rest of their days in peace. She is a special girl who needs a calm, loving home where she can rest, recover, and be spoiled as she so deserves.
