Orly
Orly is one of several dogs rescued from a home in very challenging conditions. Her elderly owner was overwhelmed, and though the dogs were not intentionally mistreated, they went without proper care. Now safe with us, Orly is finally experiencing love, stability, and the chance to grow into the happy little girl she was always meant to be.
Orly has now been in foster for 3 weeks and is proving what a sweetheart she is. She loves giving kisses and has a gentle, loving nature that makes her incredibly endearing. Her happiest times are out walking, exploring her surroundings with curiosity and confidence. She happily accepts her harness, though she will need careful supervision outside as she has no road sense and will step off a curb if not guided.
On arrival, Orly had a nasty skin condition causing intense itching, which is now gradually improving. At night, she enjoys sleeping on the bed where her foster can comfort her and prevent scratching. She also has an old ulcer in her left eye, a harmless wart on her ear, and has had a large mammary lump removed, all of which she is recovering from beautifully.
Orly has always lived with other dogs and will benefit from a kind resident dog in her new home to help her feel secure. She is wary of dog-savvy children and can feel overwhelmed at times, retreating upstairs where she feels safe. For this reason, she would thrive best in an adult-only home where she can continue to grow in confidence without pressure.
This little girl is full of potential and, with patience, love, and understanding, Orly will blossom into the happy, cherished companion she deserves. She has already shown remarkable courage in embracing her new life, and her sweet, affectionate nature shines through every day.
If you can offer Orly the forever home she deserves, you will be rewarded with a loyal, loving, and endlessly endearing companion.
