22-07-25 Olivia is one of several dogs rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions. Their elderly owner, struggling with mental health issues, was overwhelmed, and the home had become dirty and unmanageable. Though not intentionally mistreated, the dogs went without proper care. Now safe with us, they're finally experiencing love and stability.

Olivia is a stunning girl who has clearly seen very little of the world. She is feeling understandably overwhelmed and unsure to find herself here. She’s a cautious soul, but when approached gently, she allows handling and shows us glimpses of the sweet and gentle girl she truly is.

Olivia is a gentle giant who we think may be crossed with Newfoundland. She will need a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can feel safe and take things at her own pace. She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she learns all about this new and unfamiliar world.

She has always lived with other dogs and finds comfort in their company. Because of this, Olivia will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog to be her friend and help her settle in. A doggy companion will be a great source of reassurance as she finds her feet.

Olivia doesn’t yet know how to walk on a lead and will need gentle practice in a secure garden to help her build up her confidence slowly until she is feeling brave enough to venture further afield. Due to her size we will be looking for a very secure garden, with high fences.

This beautiful girl has so much potential and just needs a peaceful, loving home where she can learn to trust and start to enjoy life. If you can offer Olivia the second chance she so deserves, please don't leave her waiting.

We are currently accepting applications for Olivia, however, please note that she will not be ready to go to her new home just yet. She still requires further assessment and treatment from our veterinary team to ensure she is in the best possible health before adoption.
