  • Human family requirements

I would like a home filled with love and kindness!

  • Other pet requirements

I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden, with tall fences to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I have abducted hind legs, which don't cause any issues currently.

Ocean is one of several dogs rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions. Their elderly owner, struggling with mental health challenges, was overwhelmed, and the house had become dirty and unmanageable. Though never intentionally mistreated, Ocean and the other dogs went without the care they deserved. Now safe with us, Ocean is finally experiencing love, stability, and the chance to blossom into the gentle giant he was always meant to be.

When he first arrived, Ocean appeared a little traumatised, shyly retreating to the back of his kennel. But with patience, kindness, and the company of his kennel companions, he has begun to emerge from his shell. Today, his true personality shines through, a polite, gentle, and affectionate boy who will happily approach for strokes and always seems genuinely happy. Watching him play freely and carelessly alongside his friends, completely at ease, is a joy and a testament to how far he has come.

Ocean has always lived with other dogs, and having a kind and confident canine companion is essential for his continued growth and reassurance. A resident dog in his future home will provide guidance, comfort, and the confidence he needs as he explores the world. Ocean can live with older dog-savvy kids who respect his space and allow him time to settle.

He has never lived inside a home before, so everything is still new and unfamiliar. His adopters will need patience and understanding as he learns about house life and new skills like house training. Ocean is also building confidence with lead walking. We take things slowly, often practicing alongside one of his friends, and he will need continued gentle guidance to explore safely. Due to his size, a very secure garden with high fences is required.

Our vets have noted a slight abduction in both of Ocean’s hind legs, likely from a malformation of the hip joint as a puppy. This has caused some asymmetry, but he does not appear to be in pain and moves around well. This will need monitoring in his new home and would not be covered by insurance should treatment be required in the future.

Ocean is a truly beautiful boy with immense potential. He has come so far already, and with a calm, loving home, gentle guidance, and the support of a furry friend, he will continue to grow in confidence and happiness. He is ready to find the family who will help him thrive and feel truly safe at last.
