Gracie
09-07-25 Gracie is a sweet, gentle little lady with a heart full of love to give. She originally came to us from a breeder, and after a short time in foster care, she was adopted into what we hoped would be her forever home. Sadly, due to her owner’s declining health, Gracie was returned to us, through absolutely no fault of her own. She handled this transition with her usual quiet resilience, and now she's patiently waiting for her true forever home, where she can finally settle in for good.
Gracie has already experienced home life and clearly enjoyed it. She adapted well to the comforts of a household and quickly learned to appreciate the quiet companionship of people who care for her. It's clear that she longs to return to that kind of safe, cozy environment where she can relax and just be herself. She's not a demanding dog, just one who thrives on calmness, routine, and gentle affection.
Gracie does live with epelepsy which is currently being managed with medication. Her new family will need to be committed to continuing her treatment and monitoring her health with the support of a vet. Fortunately, epilepsy is manageable, and with the right care, Gracie can lead a happy and fulfilling life.
Because of her condition, if Gracie is to live with other dogs, she should never be left alone with them unsupervised or allowed to sleep beside them as a precaution, to keep her safe in the rare event she has a seizure. However, Gracie is a flexible and adaptable soul, she could just as happily be an only dog, soaking up all the love for herself, or live alongside other calm, kind dogs who respect her space and routine.
Gracie truly is an amazing lady. She has a quiet strength about her, a gentle nature, and a willingness to trust again despite the changes she’s been through. She deserves a peaceful, understanding home where she can enjoy the soft things in life: a warm bed, a caring hand, and someone to love her just as she is. In return, she'll be the most loyal and endearing companion you could ask for.
