Olivianna’s journey has been a long one. She was rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions, where her elderly owner, struggling with mental health challenges, was overwhelmed. Though she was never intentionally mistreated, Olivianna and the other dogs had gone without proper care for far too long. Now safe with us, she’s finally experiencing love, stability, and the gentle care she so deserves.

According to her microchip, Olivianna is a Mastiff cross Cambrian Shepherd, the latter being a mix of Welsh Sheepdog and Pyrenean Mountain Dog. There may be a few other breeds in the mix too, but one thing is certain: she’s a beautiful, big girl with a heart as soft as her eyes.

Since arriving, Olivianna has blossomed. She has put on much-needed weight and is showing her true personality, a total cuddle bug who loves to be the center of attention. Her soft eyes and calm nature speak volumes, and she leans into affection with gratitude, clearly thriving on the human contact she missed for so long. She adores people and would thrive in a home with another kind dog to offer companionship, comfort, and guidance as she continues to adjust to life in a caring household.

Olivianna has made wonderful progress in her recovery. She is learning to walk on a lead and is enjoying gentle strolls, though she still prefers a slow, steady pace. Her ears, teeth, and skin are receiving ongoing treatment from our vets, and her underweight frame is steadily improving with good nutrition and care. Olivianna has been spayed and has had 3 teeth removed and 2 pea size lumps removed at the time of the procedure. She has also had entropion repaired in both eyes. She will need to continue eye lubrication for life as she has been diagnosed with dry eye syndrome in both eyes with presence of slight mucoid ocular discharge, corneal patch and scar possibly from a previous ulcer. This may reducing the dogs visibility as the fosterer has noticed slight bumping into things.

This sweet older lady now deserves a peaceful, loving home where she can spend her golden years wrapped in comfort and kindness. After everything she’s been through, she merits a soft bed, warm hands, and a family that sees her for the gentle soul she truly is. Olivianna is ready to give endless affection, quiet companionship, and her whole heart to the right home.

If you can offer Olivianna a calm, loving environment and a place to call her own, she will repay you with unwavering love and gentle devotion. Senior dogs like Olivianna have so much to offer, and she is living proof that age is just a number when it comes to love.

Applications are now open for Olivianna, and we hope to find her the perfect retirement home where she can finally relax and enjoy every moment of her life.
