29-07-25 GoJo is a cheerful and affectionate Westie who has come into our care from a loving home. Originally rescued as a puppy, he grew up in a household with eleven cats. While he did his best, the busy environment became a little too overwhelming, and his caring owner felt he deserved more space and a quieter life. GoJo could still happily live with cats again, but a calmer household with no more than two feline friends would suit him best.

This friendly little lad adores human company and thrives on love and attention. That said, he is a bit anxious, likely a combination of his limited vision and adjusting to the busy, noisy kennel environment. Still, his sweet personality shines through, and he’s doing his best to stay positive.

GoJo may prefer to be the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the affection for himself, but he could also be happy living alongside another calm, compatible dog but this will need to be determined during a meet and greet.

Having lived in a home, GoJo is already house-trained and understands the comforts of home life. He’s not a fussy eater and is known to enjoy most food, including human treats, so his new family should be careful not to leave any tempting snacks within reach, as they might upset his tummy!

He’s also a great traveller and loves going on car rides, especially when there’s an exciting adventure at the end of it. GoJo is full of energy, enjoys long walks, and loves water. He’ll be happiest in an active home where he can explore, stretch his legs, and splash about.

We’ve been told GoJo is good around children, so we’re happy to consider applications from families with sensible older children who can give him space and respect his potential vision challenges.

Our vet team will be checking GoJo’s eyesight, as we believe he may be partially sighted and he does have scarring on his left eye. Regardless, he doesn’t let it dampen his spirit, he’s still playful, bright, and ever-curious.

GoJo has been described as a superstar by his previous owner, and we can see why. He’s also a huge fan of sunbathing, so a sunny garden spot where he can bask in the warmth is an absolute must for this little ray of sunshine.
