I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day and plenty of cuddle time.

  • Training needs

I am learning house training in my foster home!

  • Medical issues

I have cataracts and may have limited to no vision in my left eye.

Beryl is a delightful little lady who has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves close company and enjoys being scooped up for cuddles. While she can be a little skittish with new people at first, once she trusts you, her gentle, loving nature shines through.

Beryl is very dog-friendly and thrives with the company of other dogs. A calm, friendly canine companion in her new home will give her reassurance, help her settle, and provide the confidence she needs to feel secure. She has never lived in a home before, so she will need patient adopters who can guide her through house training and all the other new experiences of family life. Daytime toilet training is going very well, though she occasionally has the odd accident at night.

Beryl walks brilliantly on a lead and is confident off-lead in quiet areas. She loves her daily walks, taking time to sniff and explore, and she particularly enjoys mealtimes. She is quiet and unobtrusive in the home, you may hardly notice she’s there, but she gets very excited for her walks, meals, and affection. She is easy to handle and has grown to trust her carers, even allowing her eye drops to be administered without fuss.

From a veterinary perspective, Beryl is blind in one eye and has a cataract in the other, along with a retina that is not fully attached. Surgery is not recommended at this time, but her eyes will need regular monitoring. She is currently on a drop of Yellox in each eye every other day. Despite her visual challenges, Beryl gets around very well, manages steps, and happily trots along on walks.

Beryl has previously had her spay operation, which included an umbilical hernia repair. She is a calm, gentle little lady full of character and charm, and she will make a devoted and loving companion for the right family. The ideal home for Beryl is quiet, patient, and loving, with a friendly dog companion and plenty of short walks and cuddle time.

Beryl truly deserves her happy-ever-after forever home, and with patience and love, she will bring endless joy and affection to her new family.
