Cludo
Cludo holds a very special place in my heart – and always will. He was born here at Many Tears after we rescued his lovely mum, Ember. From the very first breath he took, Cludo has been surrounded by love and care. Myself and four wonderful staff shared the sleepless joy of raising Ember’s four pups for their first week and a half of life. But after that, I took over hand-raising Cludo and his three siblings full time – every feed, every cuddle, every silly little milestone has been shared with me. And what a journey it’s been. Cludo is puppy perfection. With his white face, russet-red brown ears and that mischievous sparkle in his eye, he’s genuinely too cute for words – like your favourite treat that you just can’t resist. He’s the kind of handsome that makes you forgive a chewed slipper or a tugged curtain in a heartbeat.
He’s the “middle child” of the bunch – not too wild, not too shy – just the perfect blend of sweet, silly and sassy. He loves to play. You’ll find him chasing his brothers and sisters with a waggy tail and a little cheeky bounce in his step – only to dash away squealing with glee before they can catch him. He’s the curtain-swinger, the hoodie-puller, the one you’ll find dangling from a toy or trying to grab your ponytail while you’re least expecting it. Teething is in full swing – trust me, I’ve felt his little chompers more than once! Despite his playful streak, Cludo also has a lovely calm side. He’s more independent than some of his siblings but still adores snuggling up when he’s all tuckered out. He loves his “mammy time” – although sometimes he’s a bit too distracted with all the world has to offer to sit still for long! Mealtimes? Oh, Cludo is a proper foodie. When he knows it’s dinner time, he jumps up on his back legs with all the excitement in the world. As a bottle baby, he was always the eager one – and now, I’ve been very careful to give him the right balance of food and nutrition to help him grow healthy and strong. Toys are a big hit – especially if they can be dragged across the floor. Bath time? He’s pretty chilled with it, and he thinks the hairdryer is just another game – trying to eat the air like it’s a magical puff of fun. Cludo’s hearing and eyesight seem to be absolutely fine, which we’re very thankful for. He’s bright, curious, full of promise and ready for his next chapter. But this next part? This is so important: Cludo is a baby. A clever, funny, delightful baby – but still very much in need of time, training, and guidance. He will absolutely need someone who’s committed – I mean really committed – to helping him grow into the confident, well-mannered dog he’s meant to be. That means kind, consistent training. Clear boundaries. A patient heart. And lots and lots of time.
Cludo could be an only dog in the right home, but ideally, I’d love him to go to a family with a gentle, resident doggy friend to snuggle, learn from and play with. Either way, he mustn’t be left alone as he grows – he needs people around him who will be present, involved and connected. Puppies like him don’t do well in isolation – they need love, structure, and companionship to thrive. Cludo is incredibly special to me. Watching him grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I’ve poured everything I have into giving him the best start. Now he’s ready for his forever home – one filled with love, laughter, guidance and unwavering dedication. He’s not just “a puppy”. He’s Cludo. And he’s ready to steal your heart. If you think you’re the one for him – and you can offer all that he needs – I promise he’ll give you ten times the love back.
Cludo's adopters will need to have him neutered when he is old enough and commit to enrolling him in puppy training and socialization classes to help him grow into a well-rounded adult dog.
With love,
Cludo’s Foster Mammy
