Monopoly was born here at Many Tears after we rescued his beautiful mum, Ember – a poodle cross. From the moment those pups came into the world, a small team of us shared the joy and responsibility of helping them find their feet… but after just a week and a half, I became a full-time foster mammy to Monopoly and his three siblings. Since then, I’ve poured my heart into raising them with as much love, patience, and care as possible. Monopoly is, quite simply, a very special soul. Monopoly has the most unique colouring – a rich mocha swirl. He’s as handsome as they come, but it’s his gentle nature and soulful eyes that truly captivate you. While his siblings may be a little boisterous, Monopoly is quieter, more thoughtful, and a little shy. He enjoys playing and exploring, especially when things are calm, but if the rough and tumble gets a bit too much, he’s not afraid to stand up for himself. He’ll let them know with a bark, chase, and even stand protectively over them – but he’s not aggressive. He’s sensitive, observant, and quietly confident in his own unique way.

Unlike his two siblings, his eyesight and hearing appear to be fine. He absolutely adores his toys. His favourite is a little blue moose I often find him curled up with, tucked in like a child with his favourite comforter. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve comforted him when he’s been overwhelmed – he’s fallen asleep so many times under my chin, and each time it has melted me a little more. There’s something in his gaze that speaks volumes. When he looks at you, there’s a depth in his eyes – full of trust, warmth, and silent questions. It pulls you in. It’s like he’s asking, “Am I safe here? Can I love you forever?” And every single time, the answer from me has been yes. Monopoly isn’t a fan of the hairdryer (understandably), but he tolerates the bath. When I bathe him, I cradle him in my hands, swirl him gently like he’s floating, always keeping his little head above water. He goes silent and still, his eyes half- closed in absolute contentment. It’s a moment of peace for both of us. Just like when he was a bottle baby – he used to whimper softly as he drank, legs splayed out like a little starfish, lost in the joy of being nourished and held. I’ve been extremely careful about his feeding, making sure everything was balanced and gentle on his tummy. He’s thriving, and I’ve done everything I can to give him the best start possible.

What Monopoly needs now is a forever family who will continue to cherish and understand him. But not just any home – the right one. He must have a kind, calm, confident resident doggy friend in his new home – one who will not only guide him, but will allow him to cwtch (snuggle) up close for comfort. I can see how much reassurance and security this brings him. He will absolutely need a patient, committed family who will give him the time he needs – to adjust, learn, and blossom at his own pace. He’s clever and with positive training and gentle boundaries, I believe he’ll thrive. Monopoly deserves the very best. A home where his sensitive little heart is nurtured, where he’s never rushed or overlooked, and where the love is as deep as the love he gives in return. He is one of those once-in-a-lifetime pups – and if you’re lucky enough to bring him home, you’ll understand exactly what I mean the moment he looks up at you. He’s my darling boy, and I know the right person is out there waiting to fall in love with him too.

Monopoly's adopters will need to have him neutered when he is old enough and commit to enrolling him in puppy training and socialization classes to help him grow into a well-rounded adult dog.

With love,

Monopoly’s Foster Mammy
