Olea’s journey has been one of quiet courage and gentle resilience. She was rescued from a home where her elderly owner, struggling with mental health challenges, was unable to provide the care she needed. Now safe with us at Many Tears, Olea is finally experiencing the stability, kindness, and love she has always deserved.

Olea found her way into foster where she was learning about home lift and settling in well. She was then adopted for a very short period of time but was returned after being spooked shortly after entering the home. During this incident, she escaped out of the front door and managed to get over the fence in the front garden, so her new home will need at least a 6ft secure garden and care will need to be taken when opening the front door. She will need time to settle before being left on her own in a new environment.

Since returning to us, she has made her way back into her original foster home where she is progressing well, according to her foster mummy, she is completely house trained, enjoys being in the kitchen and utility, and is happily exploring her garden and secure fields. She walks calmly on the lead and is confident around machinery and tractors. Household noises don’t bother her, although she is still cautious around the television. She responds to her name and quickly warms up to gentle attention, offering affection and enjoying fuss once she feels safe.

This sensitive little lady has a tender heart and a gentle spirit. When she first arrived, Olea was underweight and wary of touch. She had several lumps on her body, some of which have been removed and tested, and she has had a wart on her muzzle and one broken tooth that just need monitoring. She has also cracked a tooth but it does not seem to have affected the root and will need monitoring. Despite all this, she remains sweet, trusting, and quietly brave.

Olea thrives with the companionship of other dogs and takes comfort from their presence, enjoying their company in her gentle way. She would benefit from living with a calm, confident resident dog who can offer reassurance without overwhelming her. Olea is best suited to a home with older, relaxed dogs rather than very boisterous or high-energy companions. She is also able to settle quietly on her own and sleeps through the night behind a baby gate without issue. Olea has met cats and does not mind them; she can live with dog-savvy cats who respect her space. A secure garden will be essential so she can continue to explore safely and build confidence at her own pace.

Her adopters will need patience and understanding as she continues to learn about home life, routines, and boundaries. Olea is affectionate, gentle, and full of quiet bravery, for the right family, she promises to be a devoted companion, bringing love, loyalty, and joy to every day.

Olea deserves a peaceful, cozy home where she can finally feel secure, cherished, and loved for the wonderful little soul she is.
