  • Human family requirements

I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I would like a secure garden, with tall fences to spend time in.

  • Out and about requirements

I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction.

  • Training needs

I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training.

  • Medical issues

I am underweight and so am being fed little and often to build me up.

Orianna is one of several dogs rescued from a home in heartbreaking conditions. Their elderly owner, struggling with mental health issues, was overwhelmed, and the home had become dirty and unmanageable. Though not intentionally mistreated, the dogs went without proper care. Now safe with us, they're finally experiencing love and stability.

Orianna is a stunning girl, who is quite large and very majestic looking. We believe she is a Newfoundland cross, possibly with a Welsh Sheepdog, but whatever breed she is, she is beautiful. She is a friendly and confident girl who will happily approach you to say hello and ask for some fuss and attention, while giving your hand lots of kisses! She can live with older dog-savvy kids who allow her time to settle as she learns about her new home.

She will be looking for a loving home with adopters who will offer her lots of kindness and TLC. She has not had much socialisation in her life and so will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and playmate. She absolutely loves to play rough and tumble in the play yard with her friends!

She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind, patient, and understanding as she learns about home life and new skills like house training. Due to her size we will be looking for a very secure garden, with high fences.

Since arriving with us she has learned all about walking on a lead and harness and now walks confidentially on a lead. She will be looking for a fairly active home with adopters who can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated.

She arrived with us severely underweight, so she is currently being fed small, frequent meals to help her gradually regain her strength and condition. She also has some sore skin, which will hopefully be feeling better soon.

Orianna is a very sweet girl and with time, love and kindness we think she is going to blossom into the most amazing companion. If you love giant breeds, then you are going to adore Orianna!
