Ace is a sweet little Yorkie who has come to us from his breeder in search of a fresh start. When he first arrived, he was a worried boy who would approach staff with curiosity but quickly lose confidence if our hands moved too quickly. With time, patience, and lots of gentle reassurance, Ace has started to really come out of his shell and is showing us the wonderful little character he truly is.

He is now doing so well with his harness training and has begun to enjoy his little walks, happily taking in all the new sights and smells. His playful side is shining through more each day, he loves his toys, enjoys running around with his kennel friends, and is beginning to realise just how lovely human attention can be. Once he knows you, Ace seeks out affection and is learning that cuddles and fuss are things to enjoy rather than fear.

Ace will need a calm, adult-only home with at least one kind and confident resident dog who can help guide him and provide the reassurance he still relies on. As he has never lived in a home before, his adopters will need to help him learn about housetraining, walking on a lead, and all the routines of home life. He arrived with some dry, sore skin and is receiving medicated baths to help with this, and our vet has also noted a small lump on his front left foot which will need monitoring by his new family and their vet.

With patience, love, and understanding, Ace is going to blossom into the most wonderful companion. He has already made such lovely progress with us, and in the right home, he will continue to grow in confidence and thrive.
