BELLE IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITH HER FRIEND POPPY

Belle is a sweet Cavalier who came to us from her breeder in search of a new beginning. From the start she has been a gentle, friendly little soul, always ready for a fuss and happy to be around both people and other dogs. She shares a very close bond with her sister Poppy, and the two are looking for a home together, as they give each other the confidence and comfort they need.

Belle is currently in a foster home in Wiltshire, where she has been settling beautifully. Her foster carer describes her as a “cracking little dog” who is inquisitive, affectionate, and keen to be part of family life. She follows her foster family around the home, is clean both day and night, and enjoys pottering in the garden during the day. Belle has also been exercising in a secure paddock several times a day and is loving the freedom. She will soon be starting her harness training to prepare for walks further afield.

Belle has been good with other dogs once she has had the chance to get to know them, and she enjoys the company of both big and small friends. She absolutely loves a cuddle and is happiest snuggled up on a lap with Poppy by her side, often snoozing contentedly together. She has also been gentle and friendly with visiting grandchildren, enjoying their attention and affection.

Like many ex-breeding dogs, Belle will need time and patience as she adjusts to life in a home, but she is already showing just how loving and adaptable she can be. Belle has had 12 teeth removed at the time of her spay and will do best on a soft food diet going forward. She also has the start of a cataract in one eye, and a very small mammary lump which does not require treatment at this stage but should be monitored in the future.

Belle and Poppy are looking for a calm, supportive home where they can stay together and continue their journey. With love and reassurance, Belle will make the most loyal and affectionate little companion.
