POPPY IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITH HER FRIEND BELLE

Poppy is a sweet Cavalier who came to us from her breeder in search of a brighter future. Understandably, she arrived feeling very overwhelmed, but with the comfort of her best friend Belle by her side, she is slowly learning that life can be kind. The pair share a very special bond and are looking for a home together, as they give each other the reassurance and confidence they both need.

Poppy is now in a loving foster home in Wiltshire, where her gentle, affectionate nature is beginning to shine through. After just a moment’s hesitation, she happily leans in for a cuddle and adores snuggling close for fuss and attention. It has been heartwarming to watch her start to trust, and her foster family describe her as truly delightful.

She has been clean both day and night, and with constant access to the garden during the fine weather she is proving herself to be a quick learner. Poppy is eating well and gaining weight steadily on small, regular meals, and she will soon begin harness training to get used to walks outside the home. In the meantime, she enjoys exercising in the safety of her fosters secure paddock and is building up her strength.

Poppy has been gentle with visiting grandchildren, enjoying soft fuss and attention when approached calmly, so she could live with kind, dog-savvy older children who will give her space when she needs it. Like many ex-breeding dogs, she will still need patience and understanding as she learns more about home life, but with Belle at her side and a calm, supportive family to guide her, she has already shown how beautifully she can blossom.

Poppy has also recently had six teeth extracted and is recovering well. She and Belle are now ready to find a special forever home together, where they can continue their journey and experience the love and security they truly deserve.
