April is a beautiful Samoyed who has come to us from her breeder in search of a fresh start. When she first arrived, she was extremely nervous and avoided handling, unsure of people and their intentions. With gentle reassurance, patience, and time, she is now beginning to blossom and show us her brave side.

April has recently started going out on the lead. She is still very nervous, but she is trying her best, and it’s a joy to see her making small, steady steps forward. She doesn’t yet enjoy being touched, but this comes from fear rather than aggression, she simply hasn’t learned that hands can be kind. With a patient and understanding family, we know this will come in time.

She will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home to guide her and help her feel secure. A canine friend will show her the ropes of home life and give her the confidence to keep progressing.

As April has never lived in a home before, everything will be new for her, house training, lead walking, and all the little routines of family life. She will need adopters with experience of scared ex-breeding dogs who can give her the time, space, and encouragement she needs. An adult-only home will suit her best, as she adjusts at her own pace without added pressure.

April is blossoming into the most wonderful girl, proving that slow and steady really does win the race. With patience, love, and gentle guidance, she has every potential to shine and become the loyal, loving companion she was always meant to be.
