13-08-25 Rose is an absolute sweetheart of a Dachshund who has come to us from her breeder in search of a fresh start. Thanks to her gentle nature, friendly temperament, and positive attitude toward our kennel team, we believe Rose could happily be the only dog in the right home. That said, she gets along beautifully with other dogs and would also enjoy having canine companions if the home already has them.

Although Rose has come from a breeder, we’re told that she spent time coming and going from the house, so the idea of living indoors isn’t entirely new to her. She may still need some support with house training and will benefit from patience as she adjusts to her new surroundings.

Rose is already comfortable walking on a harness, so once she has settled in, she will be more than ready to enjoy gentle walks around the neighbourhood. We are told Rose is good with children, so we will be accepting applications from homes with older, dog-savvy children who can give her the space and respect she needs while she finds her feet.

She currently has a small patch of hair loss on her tail that doesn’t seem to be causing her any discomfort, but our vets will take a look to ensure she’s comfortable.

Rose is so sweet and affectionate and she gives the best kisses and she does have a slight overbite but this doesn't bother her. She will make a lovely friend in home.
