17-08-25 Della has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is a gentle but nervous girl who is feeling a little overwhelmed to find herself here, but she is easy to handle and has a very sweet nature.

Della will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult home with patient adopters who can give her the time and space she needs to grow in confidence and settle in at her own pace. She loves other dogs and really relies on them for comfort, so will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing.

She has never lived in a home before, so everything will be very new to her at first and her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will need to start learning to walk on a lead in the safety of a secure garden before she is ready for little adventures further afield.

With love, patience, and gentle encouragement, Della will to blossom into a much-loved family member and finally enjoy the happy life she deserves.

Our vets have noted there is a slight click in her right patella, this doesn't cause her any issues currently and may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle. She has also had 2 teeth removed at the time of her spay.

Sadly, a few weeks after her arrival, Della had to have her left eye removed as it had started to detach from the socket. We’re not sure if she may have sustained some trauma to the eye, perhaps by bumping into something, but the important thing is that she is now recovering really well.
